For the N-Sport grade, said color is joined by a black-painted roof, mirror caps, wheel arch inserts, grille, wheels, and pillars.
This combo is – without a shadow of a doubt – gorgeous. Bigger updates can be found inside, beginning with the redesigned instrument panel and center console. Nissan further worked its magic on the fit and finish, as well as the interior materials.
The infotainment screen has been inclined towards the driver, thus bringing the left-hand touch controls a bit closer to the driver. Just below the infotainment system, you will find four physical buttons, a volume knob, the central air vents, the hazard lights button, and the HVAC panel. The Japanese automaker still uses physical controls for the climate system, which is a bit surprising if you remember that many automakers are mad about touch controls for the HVAC in this day and age.
Lower still, customers are presented with a wireless charging pad for phones no larger than the iPhone 12 Pro Max. Think 160.8 by 78.1 by 7.4 millimeters. The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is a bit larger in every respect: 162.3 millimeters in length, 79 in width, and 8.6 millimeters for the thickness.
USB-A and USB-C ports also need to be mentioned for both the front and rear occupants. N-Connecta and higher trim levels get a 12.3-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 1,920 by 720 pixels. Obviously enough, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are wireless. The N-Connecta grade sweetens the deal with yellow highlights, and the N-Sport goes even further with yellow Alcantara inserts on the seats.
The N-Connecta seats are upholstered in Kira Melange, which combines PVC and fabric accents. Tekna seats improve on the roller patterned inserts of the N-Connecta with a quilted inserts on both the back and base. Tekna seats are PVC exclusively. The interior updates list continues with a more supportive center armrest with a storage cubby and a clip that can hold three credit cards, an electric handbrake, as well as a larger glovebox for the UK market (6.6 liters or 29 percent larger than before).
Hybrid models feature relocated EV Mode and e-Pedal buttons. The 2024 model year facelift brings forth more safety goodies, with Intelligent Driver Alertness being standard across the board. Lane Keep Assist, which is arguably more useful than a system programmed to inform you if you're drowsy, is standard on the well-equipped Tekna and above.
The Tekan grade also benefits from the Around View Monitor camera system. Regardless of trim level, Nissan upgraded the rearview camera from a 0.3-megapixel sensor to 1.3 megapixels. When it comes to powertrains, nothing has changed from the pre-facelift Juke. A three-cylinder turbo is standard, with said engine packing 114 ps (112 hp) and 180 Nm (133 pound-feet). It can be had with either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch box.
Available from the Nissan Acenta Premium grade upwards, the hybrid powertrain combines a free-breathing I4 with a starter generator, an electric motor, and a 1.2-kWh battery. The starter generator is rated at 15 kW (20 ps or 20 hp), whereas the traction motor delivers up to 36 kw (49 ps or 48 hp) and 205 Nm (151 lb-ft). For the 1.6-liter mill, the numbers are 69 kW (94 ps or 93 hp) and 148 Nm (109 lb-ft) of torque. Both powertrain choices are front-wheel drive. Regrettably, all-wheel drive isn't available.
