Two Super-Rare BMW M4 CS VR46 Have Just Been Delivered to Romania
Two of the most exclusive BMW M models globally have been delivered to Romania: the BMW M4 CS VR46 found new owners in the Eastern European state. These rare editions, produced in two series of just 46 units each, were unveiled in the presence of BMW M4 GT4 driver Tudor Tudurachi.

The BMW M4 CS VR46 is the pinnacle of BMW’s sports coupe lineup. Launched this year in "Sport" and "Style" versions, each limited to 46 examples, the model celebrates the 46th birthday of legendary MotoGP champion Valentino Rossi, now an official BMW Motorsport driver with the BMW M4 GT3. Romania received one unit from each edition, making the country one of the most successful in the region for these exclusive deliveries.

Valentino Rossi played a personal role in designing the two BMW M4 CS VR46 editions, each produced in a run of 46 units, a number universally associated with the champion. The “46” is featured prominently on the interior, doors, and carbon-fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) roof, along with Rossi’s signature.

The BMW M4 CS VR46 features unique BMW Individual colors and exposed carbon surfaces. The Sport variant comes in metallic Marina Bay Blue, accented with oversized Tanzanite Blue graphics and bright yellow highlights on the grille, brake calipers, and forged alloy wheels.

The Style edition features a matte Frozen Tanzanite Blue with the number “46” painted in Frozen Marina Bay Blue. Both editions showcase the VR46 logo and Rossi’s signature on the carbon-fiber roof. All paintwork is handcrafted at BMW Individual’s Dingolfing center in Germany.

Under the hood, the M4 CS VR46 houses a 3.0-liter inline-six engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology, producing 550 hp (405 kW). Power is delivered via an eight-speed M Steptronic transmission and M xDrive all-wheel drive with an active M differential. This allows the car to sprint from 0-100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and 0-200 km/h in 11.1 seconds.

Rossi’s influence extends far beyond motorcycles. With nine world titles and 115 Grand Prix wins, he is one of the most successful riders in history. VR46 has become a globally recognized brand, and even his hometown of Tavullia lowered speed limits to 46 km/h in his honor.

In addition to Valentino Rossi’s personal involvement, Romania’s soccer star Ianis Hagi also owns a BMW M4 CS VR46, painted in the Marina Bay Blue Sport variant, highlighting the model’s appeal to both motorsport legends and elite athletes.

The BMW M4 CS VR46 combines automotive engineering excellence with motorsport heritage, making it a true collector’s dream and a symbol of high-performance luxury on the road.

Each BMW M4 CS VR46 carries a price tag of over €200,000, including VAT, which translates to $233,263, reflecting its exclusivity, handcrafted details, and high-performance engineering. This positions the model firmly in the ultra-premium segment, appealing to collectors and motorsport enthusiasts who value both rarity and cutting-edge automotive technology.
