Skoda Kodiaq GT SUV Coupe photos leak online
The first shots of the Skoda Kodiaq GT has leaked online ahead of its official debut this year. It is the first-ever production SUV coupe from Skoda Auto.

The differentiator is that The Skoda Kodiaq GT sits lower than the Skoda Kodiaq and has a steeply sloping roofline. The GT version's fascia looks nearly identical to that of the traditionally designed coupe, but it has a slightly tweaked lower air intake and sharply contoured bumper outer-ends for the added aggressiveness.

At the rear, the Skoda Kodiaq GT has a more rakish back glass, sportier roof spoiler, dual round exhaust tailpipes, widely-spaced "SKODA" branding, newly designed tail lamps and unique bumper housing a full-width reflector. The interior of the coupe version may not look all that different from the standard version, except for the lower headroom for the rear seat occupants and luggage compartment.

The Skoda Kodiaq GT measures 4,634 mm in length, 1,883 mm in width and 1,649 mm in height. The regular Skoda Kodiaq is 4,698 mm long, 1,883 mm wide and 1,676 mm high. Both models share a 2,791 mm wheelbase. The coupe version is a strict five-seater.

The Skoda Kodiaq GT will come with two engine options: 137 kW (186 PS) 2.0-litre TSI turbocharged petrol and 162 kW (220 PS) 2.0-litre TSI turbocharged petrol. A 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission is expected as standard. The 162 kW (186 PS) engine model may include an AWD system option.

The official debut of the Skoda Kodiaq GT will likely take place at the 2018 Chengdu Auto Show in September. For now, the coupe version is exclusive to China. Skoda is considering it for Europe, but the Kvasiny plant (Czech Republic) which supplies to global markets like India is already running at full capacity, and hence it could take considerably more time and investment before the model can be brought to European shores and RHD countries.
