Audi's Concept C Hits the Road, Looks Impressive Under Natural Light
The 2025 IAA Mobility Show in Munich, Germany, may have concluded a few months ago, but we still recall some of the premieres it showcased. One of them is the Audi Concept C, and despite its show car status, it is actually much more than that.

First and most importantly, it is street-legal. Yes, you heard that right, you can actually drive this futuristic-looking machine on public roads. Second, it previews a production electric vehicle that has Porsche DNA, which is expected to become a thing in a little over a year from now. And third, this study previews the four-ring brand's future design language.

This latter part is a bit on the controversial side of things, as while some may agree that it looks phenomenal, especially with some modifications, others likely miss the good-old days when Audi (and not only) used to create some cool-looking vehicles. Think of it as BMW's Neue Klasse, a design language that has the means to impress, yet enthusiasts will likely raise an eyebrow when seeing it in the flesh.

But what about the actual styling of the Audi Concept C? Well, it clearly draws from some of the brand's driver-focused rides, such as the TT sports car and the R8 supercar. It has a new interpretation of the brand's grille, which is tall and very narrow, a pair of slim headlights, some large vertical air curtains to the sides, a rather clean-looking hood, a clean profile, muscular wheel arches, and extremely thick rear pillars. It also has a tiny rear windscreen, slim taillights, and a diffuser-like element attached to the bumper.

The interior is on the minimalistic side of things, yet it is still home to a screen behind the steering wheel and another one in the middle of the dashboard panel. We think the production version will lose the touch-sensitive buttons, swapping them for real ones. After all, this is what Volkswagen has started doing, as it has finally figured out that it is much more intuitive to push a physical button while keeping your eyes on the road rather than trying to figure out where everything is.

Beneath the controversial-looking skin, the Audi Concept C's production variant should utilize the same nuts and bolts as Porsche's upcoming 718 Cayman and 718 Boxster. The automaker apparently wants to go fully electric, and we should expect a RWD setup on lesser variants, with the upper specs benefiting from AWD and dual-motor assemblies.

Now, the Audi Concept C may still be a concept in every sense of the word. However, the peeps at @auditography have managed to get their hands on it, subjecting it to a cool, cinematic video and taking several pictures of it in Fussen, Germany. Therefore, if you want to see how it looks under natural light, then you know what the next step is, don't you?
