The seven-seat flagship SUV will go on sale in Europe in the last quarter of this year. Here are the live images of the SUV from the show.
In its 2018 iteration, the Kia Sorento gets a refreshed front and rear bumper. The headlamps and tail lights feature new LED units. The 'Tiger Nose' grille gets a dark metallic finish. Two new colour options are available- Rich Espresso and Gravity Blue.
Coming to the interior, the cabin features a newly-designed steering wheel and driver instrument cluster, as well as a new climate control LCD. The dashboard also features a new Audio Visual Navigation (AVN) system. The driver's seat gets a four-way adjustable lumbar support; while the front passenger seat gets a two-way adjustment. The new 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system comes with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Kia Connected Services powered by TomTom®. Other notable features include a wireless smartphone charger and an optional Harman/Kardon 640-watt 10-speaker surround sound system.
Powering the Sorento is a 2.2-litre CRDI ISG 4 cylinder engine. It produces 197 bhp of power at 3,800 rpm and 441 Nm of torque at 1,750 -2,750 rpm. There's a choice of a six-speed manual and a new eight-speed automatic, which replaces the six-speed automatic transmission. The new transmission offers quicker shift times. There are four driving modes: Eco, Comfort, Sport and Smart.
In the safety department, the 2018 Kia Sorento features Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS); Driver Attention Warning (DAW); Lane Keeping Assist System; High Beam Assist, and full LED headlamps with Dynamic Bending Light.
Kia has also introduced a new GT Line variant, pictured, which gets four-lamp LED fog lights; red brake callipers; more prominent sill step and exclusive badging on the outside; and gear shift paddles and chrome highlights in the interior.
